Seoul (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - Samsung SDI Co. (KSE:006400), a South Korean plasma display panel (PDP) manufacturer, said Thursday that it will invest 710 billion won (US$758 million) this year to expand the production capacity of its flat panel products.
The investment plan is designed to boost its market competitiveness and build production lines for PDPs and organic light-emitting diodes used in display goods, the company said in a regulatory filing.
On Wednesday, Samsung SDI, a unit of the nation s conglomerate Samsung Group, reported a 62.2 per cent on-year decline in its net profit last year to 90.
