After additional investment from Toshiba via private placement, both IM Flash Technologies and Samsung Electronics are interested in purchasing the remaining new shares of Phison Electronics, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
Approximately 55% of Phison's new shares remain after Toshiba's investment and the paper noted that either IM Flash or Samsung may purchase these shares. Phison, however, was cited by the paper as saying that it targets to sell its share to an upstream chipmaker without disclosing more information.
